Episode 2 is in the can!

Last night we finished filming episode 2, and did a quick read through of episode 3. Next week we do reshoots on Episode 1, as we creep ever closer to the March 20th premiere of Nobody Knocks.

Following up Vince's post...

Look for the series premiere of Nobody Knocks this March!!

A few laughs...

So we did most of the filming for episode 2 last night and I think you guys are really going to like it. We should have post-production on episode 1 done soon and we will give you a date as to when it will premiere shortly. With episode 2 almost done we are really starting to roll and stay on track. The dialogue is getting better, the character exchange is getting better and the character development has really gone a long way in just 2 weeks. We look forward to getting this in front of your eyes and getting your feedback...just give us a little more time to make sure we have it right!

Last night during the filming of episode 2 we experienced our first encounter with not being able to go forward with filming a scene because we kept breaking character and laughing at one of the lines we were trying to get out. It started out when JoE was trying to deliver a line, he kept cracking and smiling. Scottish and I were able to stay focused the first few times that JoE did this...when JoE finally got it together, Scottish and I were a mess. It was like being back in high school when something made you laugh and the teacher yelled at the class to be quiet...the harder you tried not to laugh, the easier it was to laugh. I had tears in my eyes and then at one point we had to hold off on filming because my face was too red from laughing.

We will eventually put together a blooper/gag reel and show everybody some great behind the scenes footage. But the point is, we are having a great time and everybody from directing, producing, editing, writing, lighting, blocking, and acting is doing a great job and having a blast. More to come soon...until next time, keep laughing!

Editing update

Just thought I'd put up a little update on the progress on the first episode of Nobody Knocks. The capture is complete, and I've started trying to wade through a ridiculous amount of footage. For an eight minute program, we have well over two hours of footage. This is no moon, it's a space station (there you go Phil). I am working as quickly as I can, but with so much footage, its a long process to make sure that I am getting the best angle, and best take of each scene. I hope to have a very close to finished (if not finished) cut by Monday. I will keep you all updated.

Yatta (We did it)

Wow. So we did it. I mean, Swimmer still needs to edit it and then post it somewhere so everyone can see it, but we did it!

Way to go gang! I'm proud of us. To be completely honest I didn't really know my lines that well when it came time to film. (I'm sure you guys couldn't tell, I'm pretty professional) but yea, I had a bad take or two in there. What of it? The important thing is the camera and the crew (which had almost as many members as the cast) made me look so damn good. (sweater-vest and all!)

Now I know what you're thinking... Phil actually blogged on this? Yes. It's true. And do you want to know why? Because I believe in NobodyKnocks. Sure I was a "naysayer" I had my doubts and worries that it wouldn't get done. In fact I still feel a little surprised we even pulled this beast off, now! But that doesn't matter anymore. This train is a-rollin' and I'm on board. Next stop, Episode II: Attack of the Groans. (every good blog post requires at least one Star Wars reference.)

So yea... hopefully we'll have a finished product to show you instead of just a bunch of random posts about how much fun it was to make or advising you not to eat chipotle before a big event in your life.
